Hi all, 2pm
Network down due to circumstances beyond our control. Fault has been reported. Will put a notice here when we find out what it was.

8pm, networks fixed, many thanks to Lancaster University Network services
normal service resumed

Update from LUNS: Monday 30th
The outage was due to United Utilities taking down one of the upstream
masts for power work without notice. As far as we are aware it was
emergency work.

how can I find the dial up number when I can't get a connection to dial up with?
set up a dial up account in advance so that you have it if the broadband network is off.
It is also handy on a laptop for when you are traveling, you can always get your emails.
